Post members place American flags on the graves of veterans in observance of Memorial Day
May 24, 2008--Standish, ME
Members of Post 128 and the Standish Kiwanis spent their Saturday morning placing new American flags on many veteran grave sites located in several community cemeteries in the Standish/Steep Falls area. The volunteers donated their time and efforts in order to observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, and to honor the service and sacrifice of local veterans who have passed on.
